It’s actually a hike from Mlowe to Usisya along the northern lakeshore. Ruarwe’s just the coolest place on the way.

TJ came to visit, we went to Nkhata Bay in Malawi and South Luangwa and Livingstone(Victoria Falls) in Zambia. Very good times.

Jon and Emily came to visit. They had a nice time seeing what I do on a more day to day basis. It was real cool and he whooped me in bao. What can I say, I’m a good teacher!

Took a nice vacation to Zanzibar. A small island off the coast of Tanzania. It was the home of the slave trade to the east for years. It has a strong swahili culture from years of trading with East Africa, Arabia and West Asia.

The house in lilongwe we get to stay in when we’re in for work…yeah work.
