City Limits

In our methods class we focus more on graphic design and data and we’ve been given the opportunity to develop an info-graphic for the City Limits magazine. It’s an exciting opportunity to actually get some work published! Not only that but this issue will be especially timely, hitting the news-stands just before the primaries. The hope is to bring cities and their issues to the forefront of the debate since they seldom get brought up. We are trying to compare broad areas like transportation, energy and environment in cities with the situation in rural America.

I’ve taken on the transportation issues. It’s been a pain trying to find data, but I think it’s come along nicely. This is still only the second iteration, but I thought I’d show my process since that’s what it is all about after all, and I have a few extra minutes…
