I’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to post updates so this post is a super-post providing updates on multiple topics.
We brought in our summer homework and the analysis and critique showed that there was nothing particularly wrong with the machinations of Filter. The business model, though new to us and interesting, seemed solid, or at least is working well for the owners. We were then thrown into confusion. After a long walk and a brief break-up Nick and I decided to change directions and focus on another topic close to our hearts, bicycles. Yeah yeah, everyone is into bicycles these days, and it seems like there’s always a new bike design or accessory on the horizon from the HipLok to hub-less wheels, but we’re hoping to dig into the influx of cyclists and the local governments response.
Kyle, Ann and I met again tonight. we worked out some more details of the website and our strategy. Next week, as currently planned, will be our first Happy-Hour event. Hopefully we can get 10 to 15 business students and design students together to start talking new ventures.
Also I’ve been chosen to work on the Penn Medicine studio group. We’ll be addressing ways to help them sustainably innovate and lower re-admittances. I also finished another set of shelves, but they’ll definitely get a dedicated post. When I can find the time, that is.
Oh and one last thing, I’m updating the site to have a new look and feel. The content will be the same, but if it looks unfamiliar don’t run away!
